Within the framework of the Pilot Project for the Promotion of Social Dialogue in the Southern Mediterranean Neighbourhood – SOLiD, the Arab Trade Union Confederation ATUC organised a seminar entitled “Social Dialogue and Employees Representations in the Company from Duality to Complementarity”. The seminar was held in Tunis on 22 and 23 November 2017 with participation of 30 members of the social partners, CCE, DGB, BDA and UGTT.
This event was an exchange on knowledge and deepen the role and missions of the SEC according to the law and collective agreements
It aimed to discuss the following results:
- The obstacles to the proper functioning of the CECs are identified
- The union-commission relationship is clarified and consensually determined (from duality to complementarity)
- The courses of action for strengthening the dialogue within the company are defined
