The 2nd Workshop on Local Authorities and Social dialogue was implemented by BUSINESSMED and the Jordan Chamber of Industry JCI with the kind support of the Jordan Ministry of labour, entitled “Employers’ authority in the organization of work and his disciplinary powers” moderated by the Former Secretary General of the Jordan Ministry of Labour.
It was marked by a high level of attendance among HR managers and legal directors of eminent companies and HR associations in Jordan in view of the theme’s relevance as it aims at raising awareness among the companies’ officers as for contractual rights and obligations.
The keynote speakers gave an insight on contractual relations and prerogatives of each party from a legal perspective (Jordan labour law) then an open debate and exchange emerged between the representatives of the Labour Ministry and the Employers on practical cases of labour organization and penalties.
