Within the framework of the Pilot Project for the Promotion of Social Dialogue in the Southern Mediterranean Neighbourhood – SOLiD, the Tunisian Minister of Social Affairs and representatives of UGTT and UTICA conducted a visit to Germany on 20 and 21 February 2017. The visit was organised by the Arab Trade Union Confederation ATUC.
The purpose of this visit was to arrange a meeting with the German Minister of Social Affairs, in regard to the still fragile and partly unstructured relations among the Tunisian social partners in the private sector and on the background of the difficult economic and social situation a substantial support from the policy makers. In addition to that such a visit helped to install concrete relations between the German Ministry of Social Affairs and its Tunisian counterpart.
