The Istituto Sindacale per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo (ISCOS) in coordination with The Economic, Social and Environmental Council (ESEC), The Moroccan Workers’ Union (UMT), Democratic Confederation of Labour (CDT) and The General Union of Moroccan Workers (UGTM)” organised a seminar “Migration, decent work and social rights” on March 13th and 14th 2017 in Casablanca, Morocco.

The event witnessed the participation of the Ministry for Moroccans Residing Abroad and Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs, Casablanca-Settat Employment Direction.

The seminar, inscribed within the second phase of SOLiD, provided an excellent opportunity for discussions and exchange of experiences between social partners, civil society and local authorities on specific topics such as the inclusion of migrants in the labour market and the social and economic rights of migrant workers, with a focus on the potential role of trade unions within the Moroccan institutional framework.
